I had the pleasure of spending a day cycling with Adrian in early July and I can very highly recommend him as a guide, cycling partner, or wider group member.

Joining our group of 10 friends for the third – and best – day of a five day tour of Charente Maritime he took us on a cracking trip to Marennes before returning along the coast road, one of the finest 40kms of tarmac I have cycled.

Throughout the day Adrian’s passion for cycling, mixed with his deep love of France and in particular his little part of it, Charente Maritime, shone through. A font of knowledge, most professional guide and effortless host it was a real pleasure to spend the day with him. The kilometres shot past in a blur of great scenery and conversation. What more could we have asked for.

I look forward to joining Adrian in the very near future for many more days in the saddle.

We enjoyed our first cycling trip with Adrian in the Charente so much we came back for another the following year!

Adrian is a very knowledgeable, patient and friendly guide with plenty of encouragement for you when you are flagging a bit.

We had some great days out in beautiful countryside, one of the most memorable was when we went as far as Cognac and followed the Charente river on our way back through some extremely picturesque scenery.

We also had some BBQs in the evenings at Chez Les Bons prepared by Adrian who is a dab hand on the grill! A few glasses of rosé and a big sleep in a comfy bed awaited us each evening to restore us for the next day. We will be back for a third trip!

What a great setting, the perfect place to relax and enjoy rural France but still close enough to the coast and a few major town to ensure you get the full experience. The house was calm, clean and very welcoming, would definitely recommend it for anyone, but especially cyclists as the roads are quite and smooth. Thank you for your hospitality 🚴‍♂️
