Here are some of my favourite local cycling routes around Charente Maritime:

A quick spin through the sunflowers and vines to Talmont and the port at Mortagne.

A nice loop taking in the 12th Century Dungeon in Pons with lunch at La Table in Meursac.

A great route through the Roman arch at Saintes along the Charente River to Cognac for a tasting if time permits.

Médoc Madness! A lovely day through the Médoc, with lunch in Pauillac.
