Escape to South Western France for a long weekend full of adventure. 

Chez Les Bons is the perfect base to discover the natural beauty and the history of the area on a summer cycling holiday. Located in Charente Maritime, it is the place to unwind with great cycle rides, beautiful wild beaches, delicious seafood and loads of outdoor activities.

A beautiful 200 year old Charentais farmhouse that sits in the middle of the vines and the sunflowers on the east bank of the Gironde, between Bordeaux and La Rochelle, awaits you. The days are spent cycling around the beautiful Charente countryside. You can visit the towns of La Rochelle with its beautiful port, Cognac and Saintes and spend time on the very chic Ile de Ré and Ile d’Oléron. For the more courageous, there is a 170km route through the vines and Châteaux of the Médoc!

Nearby are the picturesque villages of Talmont, Mortagne and Meursac.

Adrian Butler has been holidaying in the region for 30+ years so knows it intimately and will guide you around for your trip. He has cycled and guided all over the world. All routes will be agreed together to suit your groups abilities. Adrian will provide you recommendations for great bike hires that will suit all abilities and budgets.

Alternatively, come mid-week and combine with a city break in Bordeaux or La Rochelle.
